"The final word from District 7 Legislative candidates" article on page 10 includes a short response from each candidate. Unfortunately, my column was edited in content. The Hownikan removed, after consultation with the Chairman and Vice Chairman, the following sentence from my article: "In Utah, Chairman Barrett shared that a legislator needs to be adept at data analysis and budgets." The article acknowledges my grandfather, LeRoy Neddeau, and his deep involvement with the Citizen Potawatomi Nation from the early 1970s. More specifically, my grandfather's role in organizing what is now known as the CPN Family Reunion Festival is mentioned.
